This bowl has been incised with the design work of the mystical  mantra for Om Mani Padme Hum on the inside center  and around the outside.This Sanskrit mantra of Avalokiteswara ,the Bodhisattva of compassion , has six syllables.
  On the bottom is the Shrivasta, the endless knot for endless life surrounded again by the mantra for Om Mani Padme Hum
