Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth and good fortune. The wife of Vishnu, she is said to have taken different forms in order to be with him in each of his incarnations. She has four arms here two are holding flowers, and the other two are in the Varada & Abhaya mudras. The Varada Mudra is, the lower left hand, the gesture of generosity, charity, and compassion. This sacred hand gesture represents the granting of blessings, wishes, or even pardon. Abhaya mudra, the lowere right hand, is a symbolic, ritualistic gesture of the hands often used in a spiritual yoga practice to demonstrate fearlessness, protection, peace and friendship.
.She is often depicted with Saraswati and Parvati as forming the holy trinity ,Tridevi.
