Thebeik, Monk's Bowl, is Burmese lacquerware
14" High x 10" Diameter Please refer to the Burmese Lacquerware description on the last page. This Monk's bowl resembles a fish bowl with green glass, a gilded cover & set on a kalut wood stand. This is a very popular votive offering presented to monasteries & pagodas. The glass jar is often used for offerings, usually money for repairs to the monastery complex. Probably 19th century.
