Kharchheri is a form of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. Om Mani Padme Hum is the famous mantra of Chenrezig in Tibetan. It is said that all the teachings of the Buddha are contained in this mantra.
The other two principal hands are raised to the chest with the palms joined in Namaskar Mudra with a round object known as "Jewel" a symbol of knowledge held in the center. He is also known as Six Syallabled Lokeswara. The Six syllables are Om Mani Padme Hum, The Jewel in the Lotus. One who recites this mantra will be saved from all dangers and will be protected.and painted by monks in Mongolia
