Chintana , Meditation, is Burmese Lacquerware
10" High x 10" Diameter                   Please refer to the Burmese Laquerware description on the last page. .  This piece is a lidded storage jar with an elephant on top and walking elephants encircling the jar with zin-me floral pattern. It is set up to hang but the string can be removed.  There is a small amount o f damage from use over time. Probably 19th century.
